Daren NewMan

This is an interesting design of a poster advertising an art fair. The poster is based on ornaments which are old fashioned and dated. The type is a signature type use for but it is still appropriate with this design. However, The other type used is very different Newman, crisp, clean and very direct. That type is used to for the details of this fair and the tag line which is attention grabbing

"Ornament is crime? "

I'm not particularly fond of of visual aesthetics of this poster but I think that it is appropriate to what it is trying to communicate with a well chosen typography and compositions.

I think that this work has an element of a visual synecdoche in it where the ornament doll is representing a bigger group of art enthusists
