Utterubbish is an exhibition that presents ideas and works by 30 designers collaborating their exploration on how design can create value for individuals and society. socially culturally, emotionally, economically, commercially and intellectually.
the exhibition covers a wide range of creative disciplines, including product, furniture. fashion, graphic, environmental design and architecture. the themes includes sustainable design and eco-design.
The fact that leading designers from different fields put together and create an exhibition to raise peoples conscience really interested me .
The concept and lay out of the exhibition
are visually engaging and I think that the title of the exhibition works so effectively to get people's attention. Even if you are not interested in art, if there is an exhibition called UtterRubbish/ UseLess in you would be intrigued to what to would be about.
So I think with this post, I researched it after I found the design for the book for made for the exhibition, I'm more interested in the idea/concept itself rather than the design. I think the concept is culturally relevant to a lot of us, especially those who wish to practice design in the future.
